Step 2 for Avoiding Misdiagnosis

Go ahead and get a second (or third) opinion if you’re not satisfied with an initial diagnosis.  Go in to see the new doc and describe your symptoms fully and honestly, but don’t reveal the earlier diagnosis.  Give the new doc an opportunity to consider your “story” with fresh eyes and ears.
